Details

Archduke Charles Francis Joseph with his wife and children. Charles became heir-presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne following the assassination of his uncle Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on June 28th 1914 by Serbian nationalists. The event was to precipitate World War I.
