Details	The Art of a Great Animal and Country Life Artist: The Work of Sir Alfred James Munnings R.A. (1878-1959). On left, the Right Hon. The Earl of Birkenhead on his Roan Weight-Carrier (an old war veteran which Lord Birkenhead has now pensioned off, and he now spends his time at Charlton, Banbury).On the right is The Drummer of His Majesty's 1st Life Guards, exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1922. The inset sketches on the lowr left-hand page show Munnings' rebuke to certain letters received claiming that the horse's legs were placed in an 'impossible' position.
