Details |
A hole in a Red Cross sign on top of a tent made by a bomb. The attacks on Dr Melly's unit near Kworam continued over the following two days. The bombs were dropped by an Italian Caproni aeroplane, killing an number of patients. Britain claimed the right to claim compensation from Italy for the incidents, arguing that the red cross was displayed clearly for the pilots to see.
