Description | The Bread Queue: First Come, First Served |
Details |
A queue of poverty-stricken Londoners queuing outside a baker's shop. Bakers would open early and sell cheaply unsold bread from the previous day, though it often required queuing from as early as 4am in the morning to be certain of a purchase.
