Description	The Canine Brancardier - French Ambulance Dogs
Details	Page from The Illustrated London News showing the work of French war dogs with the ambulance service who were trained to find wounded men on the battlefield and bring back a fallen man's helmet. Other photographs show the dogs with their trainers, scaling a 10 ft fence and wearing gas masks. The final two pictures show the care taken over dogs. In one, the dog is being given a bath at the Maison Lafitte Kennels and in another the comfortable 'billets' are pictured.
