Ellen Bright (1832 - 1850), a 'Lion Queen' animal trainer, being attacked by a tiger during the course of a performance at Wombwell's Menagerie, Chatham, January 1850. Ellen Bright sustained fatal wounds from the tiger's attack and died shortly thereafter.
