Illustration depicting a lively crowd scene in an unidentified town or city during the declaration of the poll in the 1892 General Election (won by the Liberal party bringing Gladstone to office for his fourth terms as Prime Minister). The police can be seen calming the crowd which consists of young and old, all keen to hear the result.
