Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, formerly Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott (1901-2004), wife of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester. Drawn by the society osteopath and artist, Stephen Ward at a sitting specially granted to the Illustrated London News at York House. Ward sketched several high profile figures for the Illustrated London News in 1961, but two years later he would become notorious through his involvement in the Profumo Affair.
