The actual football dribbled by Captain Nevill (who was killed in action) towards the German trenches during the attack on Montauben by the East Surreys, fixed by Lt.-Col. H. P. Treeby, D.S.O. to its stands during a commemoration ceremony at Kingston barracks. See picture no. 10572967 for the attack as depicted by R. Caton Woodville.
