Details |
Impressions and personalities at the Florida Club in South Bruton Mews, renowned for its glass dance floor, which triggered a craze for them in other clubs in and around London. Top left is Captain J. Drummond, the club secretary, bottom right is Quagline (perhaps Quaglino?), the maître d'hôtel, and also 'Toothpick' (wearing a fez), dispensing the café Turk and his 'Oriental friend' Abdullah, whose attention is divided between cigars and the business of reading ladies' palms.
