London crowds outside Waterloo Place, celebrating years later the victory, raised to commemorate the heroism of the Brigade of Guards in the Crimean War. Around the foot of the statue a group of veteran soldiers wearing their medals standing, glad to be there to testify their loyalty to Queen Victoria.
