The Hon. Mrs Richard Bethell, formerly Evelyn Lucia Millicent Hutton, daughter of Colonel George Hutton, pictured in The Tatler with a report on how she was working as a parlour-maid in Lady Ridley's hospital for wounded soldiers at 10, Carlton House Terrace. The Tatler goes on to say, 'Like so many other devoted ladies Mrs Bethell has take up war work in any capacity that has first presented itself, and though many have qualified as trained nurses, there are still numbers of people who have not had the opportunity to do so, and have readily given their aid in other capacities.'
