The building on Disco Island, Greenland, which the crew of the Arctic exploration ship, 'Pandora', had converted to use as a 'Musick Hal' for their entertainment, 1875. A female inhabitant of Disco Island stands on the right, admiring the litter left behind by the British explorers. The 'Pandora' was used by Sir Allen Young in two attempts between 1875 and 1876 to find the Northwest Passage, around the northern coast of Canada and Alaska, and any traces of the missing Franklin expedition of 1845.
