Prince of Wales and Duke of Edinburgh arriving at the New Eddystone lighthouse to lay the foundation-stone. The Princes were carried to the rock on the SS 'Galatea' (steamer on left), a Trinity House yacht. The lighthouse, designed by Sir James Douglass, was completed in 1882.
