Edward, Prince of Wales (1894 - 1972), later King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor, pictured as a boy scout. The prince was a supporter of the scout movement which had been founded by General Robert Baden-Powell in 1908. By 1922, when this picture was published, it had over 350,000 members. He attended a scout rally at Alexandra Palace on October 7th, 1922 in his uniform as Chief Scout of Wales.
