Details

Edward, Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VIII), in the uniform of a non-commissioned officer of the Oxford University Officer Training Corps. The Prince of Wales was keen to see active service in the army at the outbreak of WWI and on 7th August 1914 it was announced that he had been given a commission in the Grenadier Guards.
