Photograph of The Princess Royal, The Duke of Fife and Princesses Alexandra and Maud on board SS 'Delhi' December 1911. On the 12th December the 'Delhi', en route to Egypt, was wrecked in a gale off Cape Spartel, Tangiers. Three lives were lost, but the Royal party were amongst those rescued by the French cruiser 'Friant'.
