Details	A page from the Illustrated London News, reporting on the 1948 Royal Variety Show at the London Palladium. The Royal Box is shown festooned with flowers, with the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Margaret, King George VI and the Queen Mother present. The cast are pictured on stage during the finale, and a selection of artists are pictured larking around at a rehearsal: (L-R)Charlie Chester, Jimmy Gold, Danny Kaye, Arthur Askey, Bud Flanagan, Teddy Knox, Charles Naughton and Chesney Allen.
