This diagram shows several types of grenades the Germans were using during World War One, Besozzi grenade which had a 5 seconds time fuse, Pear-shaped grenade, firing level as extended when thrown and the Ball grenade which hooked around the wrist with a strap to the friction bar, which gives a jerk upon throwing.
