A ladies shoe race, during a gymkana on a passenger liner. The competitors had to race the length of the deck to a sack containing their shoes, find their own pair and put them on, then race back to the other end of the ship. This illustration shows a number of the other passengers looking on at the amusing scene as the girls struggle to find their shoes.
