The three Wiesenthal sisters, Grete, Elsa and Berta, who were causing a sensation at the London Hippodrome in 1909 when the theatre had re-opened after a four-month long refurbishment. The sisters danced gavottes and waltzes freely and exuberantly and Grete's whirling dance to the Blue Danube, according to this report in The Bystander, 'nightly creates a furore.'
