Swedish Arctic Expedition landing at Dickson's Bay, Yenisei River, 1876. This expedition was led by Baron Nils Nordenskjold (1832-1901) who wanted to explore the Northeast Passage, with a view to opening up new trade routes. A portrait of Baron Nordenskjold is inset top right.
