Description | The temporary courthouse at Morant Bay, Jamaica |
Details |
A view of the group of buildings at Morant Bay where the courts-martial held their sittings and the shed where the prisoners were confined during the Negro Revolt in Jamaica. The house which forms the temporary residence of Major-General O'Connor, the Commander-in-Chief of the troops in Jamaica, is on the high ground in the back of the view. This is where most of the summary trials and executions have taken place.
