Description The view of 'Northfleet' from Dungeness
Details

Sailors watching the last visible remains of the Northfleet as it sinks to the sea. The Northfleet was an emigrant ship that was run down by a foreign steamer while at anchor at Dungeness. 300 people were on board when the disaster happened.
