Details

'Whityngton Stone', a memorial to Sir Richard Whittington (1358-1423), London. This stone was placed on the spot in Upper Holloway where he was traditionally supposed to have sat ruminating on his poor fortune, before hearing Bow Bells chiming 'Turn again, Whittington, Thrice Lord Mayor of London'.
