Description | The Zeppalloon by William Heath Robinson, WW1 cartoon |
Details |
'An ingenious adjustment. Whereby a captive balloon can, at a moment's notice, be converted so as to appear like a Zeppelin. The "Zeppalloon" one hears, was used with great effect on the Western Front, but, of course, any previous reference to it has been persistently 'blue-pencilled' during the war.'
A typically crackpot idea from the pen of William Heath Robinson for the conversion of wartime balloons into Zeppelins.
