A double page spread from the Illustrated London News following the sinking of the Titanic, showing some of the most well appointed interiors of the luxurious ship including a four-poster bed in the ú870 first class apartments, the swimming pool, gymnasium, promenade deck (including a private one accompanying the ú870 suite), cooling room of the Turkish bath and the Parisian cafe. Picture 1 shows Captain E. J. Smith, who went down with the ship.
