A page of photographs showing boys at the Watts Naval Training School at Elmham in Norfolk undergoing instruction in order to prepare them for the Navy. The caption states that the school has already supplied the Fleet with a good number of boys since the war began. Pictures show: 1, Knotting and splicing rope, 2. learning to box the compass, 3. signal instruction, 4. the steering instructor, an invention of the school, 5. boys in the indoor bath, 6. learning to dance the hornpipe, 7. gymnastics, 8. The Rev. Howard Banister, chaplain and officer in charge during the absence of Rear-Admiral Harry H. Stileman who was on active service and 9. gun drill.
