The Signing of the Peace Treaty with Germany at Versailles. Britain's Prime Minister signing the peace treaty with Germany in the Galerie des Glaces at Versailles, June 28, 1919. British Prime Minister David Lloyd George is pictured seated and signing the documents, while the chief representatives of the Great Powers file up to the table. Just behind Lloyd George, from left, Andrew Bonar Law, Arthur Balfour, Lord Milner, Billy Hughes, Australian Prime Minister, General Botha, and General Smuts. Also in attendance were M. Dutasta, Secretary-General of the Conference with his co-secretary, M. Arnavor. The table used was from the chateau's historic collection.
