Description | Truffle hunting |
Details |
A man and boy accompanied by four small dogs, hunt for truffles in a forest. Truffles, a fungus that grows in symbiosis with certain trees, and a culinary delicacy, are notoriously difficult to find as they remain underground even when mature. The use of pigs or sniffer dogs to locate truffles is still practised today.
