Female undergraduates at Somerville College, Oxford, enjoying a tea party hosted in the living quarters of one of the students. Somerville College was founded in 1879 and named after Mrs Mary Somerville, a Scottish mathematician and physicist. It was Oxford's first non-denominational college and admitted only women.
