Unity Mitford and Lady Anne Hunloke selling programmes at the Royal Film matinee of 'The Good Companions' at the New Victoria Cinema attended by George V and Queen Mary. Unity Freeman-Mitford, fourth daughter of Lord and Lady Redesdale. Unity famously supported the Nazi party and during the run up the the second world war spent a lot of time with Hitler. In 1939 following Britain's declaration of war on Germany she attempted suicide by shooting herself but she survived and was sent back to the UK to recover. Unity died in 1948 aged 33 after suffering from meningitis.
