Details |
View of the Royal Hospital of St Katharine, Regent's Park, London. It was founded in the 12th century by Queen Matilda, wife of King Stephen, not as a medical institution but for the relief of the poor. The chapel, seen here, was built in the 1820s, modelled on King's College, Cambridge, and is now the Danish Church of St Katharine.
