Description Views of St. Paul's Cathedral, London 1913
Details

Diagram and photograph of St. Paul's Cathedral, London, in 1913 when it was felt that the building was suffering from subsidence. The bottom image shows a proposal for pipes to be sunk all around the cathedral to allow more water into the sandy sub-soil which, it was hoped, would stop the subsidence.
