Details

Before entering the First World War, the United States had remained neutral, due to unrestricted submarine warfare, America declare war on Germany on 2nd April 1917. Munition-workers in a car procession to the Town Hall from Central Station, giving a large welcome 'to our American Allies' the Stars and Stripes, Union Jacks, being featured.
