Description | Wash Day on Board a Sailing Ship in the Tropics |
Details |
Crew of a large sailing ship washing their clothes. When a rainstorm approached, the crew took the opportunity to stop up the deck drains and thereby accumulate several inches of fresh water on the deck. When the rain had passed, they were able to use this 'paddling-pool' for washing.
