Description Winston Churchill defends the government at the Oxford Union
Details

Mr. Winston Churchill as under-secretary of State for the colonies, replying to F.E Smith(M.P for Walton) during a debate at the Oxford Union on March 1st 1907. The subject of the debate was 'That in the opinion of this House the present Government is unworthy of the confidence of the country'. Mr Hallett(Secretary) is seated on the far left, with Mr. Talbot(President) on the raised dais, and Viscount Wolmer in the chair to his left.
