Details

Women welders at work on pieces of metal at a school opened at Notting Hill Gate by the Women's Service Branch of the London Society for Women's Suffrage during the First World War. The school's purpose was to teach women oxy-acetylene welding (among other skills) in order for them to take up work in munition factories.
