Description Worth It by Harold Earnshaw
Details

A wounded WW1 Army officer with his arm in a sling (and some of it visibly missing) enjoys the attention of two stylishly dressed young women. The picture is by the artist Harold Earnshaw (husband of Mabel Lucie Attwell) and is partly autobiographical as Earnshaw, who was a Lance-Corporal in the Royal Sussex Regiment lost his right, drawing arm on the Somme. Determined not to let his injury prevent him from continuing in his chosen career, he learnt to drawn with his left.
