Description	Wounded soldiers arriving in hospital, WW1
Details	Wounded soldiers being lifted out of an ambulance of the London Ambulance Column on arriving at their destination hospital in Britain. During the First World War, ambulance trains arrived daily at the termini of the South Coast railways and the occupants were distributed to the numerous military hospitals around London. As well as meeting trains at Charing Cross, Waterloo, Clapham Junction and elsewhere as required, it undertook removal cases from one hospital to another and to convalescent homes in the country.
