WW1 - A drawing from a German artist for a German newspaper who witnessed the airmen in a battle royal in mid-air. The two German officers in a biplane attack the French captive balloon shown below them. It also illustrates their escape from the explosions of shrapnel, whilst being chased by a French Farman monoplane. One German is seen in the act of dropping a bomb on the captive balloon, and the other firing at the French monoplane.
