WW1 - John Bull was an illustrated character and personification of the British in the war. Britain represented as a well-built, stocky man, seen here hunting in the British countryside. With his hunting gun, he shoots down the enemy zeppelins. This illustrates Britains success at defending itself from airship enemy attacks.
