Description | Zyklon-B crystals, Majdanek Camp; Second World War, 1944 |
Details |
Some Zyklon-B crystals captured at Majdanek Concentration Camp, near Lublin, Poland, 1944. Majdanek was run as a concentration camp by the Waffen-SS between 1941 and 1944. Although the Germans attempted to destroy the evidence of their atrocities at the camp, there was too much to hide and the Russian army captured much of the camp intact.
