Countess Beatty
Dorothy Power, Countess Beatty, second wife of David Beatty, 2nd Earl Beatty pictured in 1940. During the war she ran an RAF officers club in France as well as a Church Army canteen. She then turned her town house into a depot for Naval Comforts (knitwear), running it for the Navy League, of which her husband was Chairman. Shown here with large piles of knitted garments
