The Flying Dutchman
by Ben Webb

Everybody’s haunted nowadays.
There is no getting away from
the spirit of the times, which is
to be all at sea, an absolute mood,
drifting forever through the wet doom.

Drifting is a really shit way to live –
I don’t want to do it anymore –
and so I close my eyes to mirages
and your bad weather.

Sky and sea the same,
and if you’re flying, I don’t want to know,
It’s all getting dimmer and I’m almost done.

Thank you for understanding at this difficult time.
