Antonin Mace de Lepinay, inspector of collections, with a drawing by Jacques-Louis de la Hamayde de Saint-Ange, 1825, of the original design for the carpet from the choir of the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris, at the Atelier de Rentraiture de Tapis, Mobilier National, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France. The carpet was woven 1824-33 and is used only on special occasions. It required some restoration to the edges and a small number of holes. Picture by Manuel Cohen
