Collection of the week: Imagno

Austrian archive Imagno specialises particularly in Central and Eastern European art and history, but also covers a broad spectrum of subjects and styles. A typical selection could include stills of Charlie Chaplin films, photographs of the sumptuous 18th century Schoenbrunn Palace, portraits of Hollywood's leading ladies, and art of the Vienna Secession by Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser and others. With over 30,000 images on our website, there is plenty of variety.

The 400 images in this edit, including photographs of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, paintings by Egon Schiele and scenes of daily life in the mid-20th century, are a concise introduction to Imagno's wealth.
