Mussolini's Dead Body - Piazzale Loreto, Milan

On 28th April 1945 in Giulino di Mezzegra, Benito Mussolini and his lover Claretta Petacci were executed by partisan fighters, along with most of the members of their 15-man train, primarily ministers and officials of the Italian Social Republic. The following day, the bodies were loaded onto trucks and driven to Milan and dumped on the ground in the old Piazzale Loreto. Here Mussolini's body can be seen at the Piazzale Loreto, lying on top of Petacci (bottom centre)
