Macedonian Gipsies at Royston, Hertfordshire
Groups of Roma Gypsies came to England from Germany Eastern Europe just prior to the First World War and again after tensions in the 1930s. They travelled in convoys moving about the country seeking work. Often they were moved on by local poilce as shown here
