The Giant Machnow at The London Hippodrome

Fedor Machnow (said to be 9 ft 8 ins high in 1905) was born in 1876 near Viciebsk, then part of the Russian Empire (now in Belarus). He is seen here outside the London Hippodrome. His wife is next to him in a dark coat and his manager in a light suit and cap is looking up at him. The Russian Giant'. Machnow died in 1912 of pneumonia
